Myrna Dean Pelham, 82, of Spencer, OK, gained her wings on May 23, 2023. She was born on December 17, 1940, in Covington, Kentucky.
Myrna was known by most as “Grandma”, and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She will forever be lovingly remembered for her kind heart and compassionate soul.
Myrna retired from Lucent Tech after 27 years of service.
She loved the Lord, her family, and her pets. Myrna was an animal lover and had quite a variety of many different pets. She loved going on walks and taking her dogs to the river to run and play and spend time outdoors in nature.
Myrna loved the holidays and entertaining her friends and family. Christmas was her favorite, she would decorate and light the house up like an airport runway. Easter was picnics and volleyball games with the yard full of kids. Halloween, another favorite, you would find her dressed up in her original costumes and OH, some of those stories! WOW!
She was a very generous person and was always helping those in need. She believed in second and third chances and always found good in everyone. I do not think she realized how many people’s lives she touched.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Norma Clark; brother, John Alan Gooch; grandson, David Kennedy; and great-grandson, Caleb Moore.
Myrna leaves to cherish her memories, her brother, Robert Gooch; daughters, Cheryl Martin-McComas and Jeff McComas, Terrell Graves, and Sheila Noell; grandchildren, Christopher (Nikki) Kennedy, Chana Martin (Chad Stone), Jeremy (Jamie) Schwab, Curtis Schwab, Keven (Lauren) Schwab, Devin Graves, Katelyn (Anthony) Wilson, Colton Graves, Cameron Graves, Jared (Chelsea) Graves, Tyler (Kristina) Graves, Leighton (Cassaundra) McComas, and Zachary McComas; great-grandchildren, Corey, Ciara, CJ Carter, Cadance Anderson, Carrisa Martin, Jaxon and Charlie Kay Kennedy, Jayden Kennedy, Taylor Schwab and Kendal Lane, Crystal and Lincoln Schwab, and London Stewart Schwab.
There are so many friends and extended family to mention, but I would not know where to start and would hate to leave anyone out. You know who you are, and she loved you.
My mother was a teacher of love, compassion, and fearlessness.
A visitation for Myrna will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd St, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73141. A funeral service will occur Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home.
