Maxine graduated from Spring City High School in 1956. She then completed an Associates degree at Freed-Hardeman college in Henderson, Tennessee and then attended college at Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas. Since she left college, she has lived in the Oklahoma area and was residing in Oklahoma City, OK, at the time of her death.
Maxine was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and one of her greatest joys was teaching children of all ages about the love of God.
Maxine is survived by her son, Phillip Reeves of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, James B. Smith of Evensville, Tennessee; two sisters, Nina Blackford of Cleveland, Ohio and Wilma Jean Richardson of Milford, Delaware.
Maxine is preceded in death by her son, Mark Reeves, daughter, Deborah Curtis, parents Purser and Marie Smith, brothers Dallas Smith and George Wilson Smith, and sister Shirley Jane Smith.
