Nanette Forth (Née Keller), or “Nan” as she was known to her loving family and many close friends, was born in 1945 in Paris, Texas to Albin Glenn Keller and Nannie Clare Pearson who fell in love during WWII and had three children. Nan was the eldest. Nan was a cheerleader at John Marshall High School where she fostered dear friendships, many of which lasted throughout her life. Nan met the love of her life Mike Forth as a freshman in high school at her first school dance. They would go on to marry in 1964, have three wonderful children and create a beautiful life together. Married for 60 years before Mike’s passing, Nan was devoted to Mike, and he to her. If Mike was the engine that kept the family going, Nan was the glue that held it together.
Nan was known for her goodness. She was a lady, graceful and kind, serving others through her gifts of encouragement and hospitality and her knack for creating beauty. Nan was the quintessential hostess with the mostest, and she was passionate about decorating, travel and time with friends. She was quick with a laugh, and that laugh could light up a room. For years, she walked daily with friends and enjoyed conversations with them over a cup of her favorite tea, Hot Cinnamon Spice. She loved to garden, creating a quiet the oasis in her backyard. In her 70s, she began painting, and many of those works now hang in the homes of family and friends.
Nan served as President of the Edmond Women’s Club. She was a Stephen Minister and long-time participant in Bible Study Fellowship. She and Mike quietly volunteered and served anonymously in ways too many to mention, but she shone most in her calling as wife, mother, sister and friend.
She was steadfast follower of Jesus, a prayer warrior and her faith was the cornerstone of her life. The quiet power of her trust in God was formative for her children and grandchildren. She was firm in her beliefs and values and she lived in alignment with those. Her life was her witness. She was loved beyond measure by her children who hope to carry on her legacy through their own families and the families of their own children.
Nan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Kent Forth and her brother, John Keller. She is survived by her brother Al Keller, his wife Marsha, Shannon Forth Davies, her husband Tom, Shawn Forth, his wife Alicia, and Christy Forth, her grandchildren Alex Davies, TJ Davies, his fiancé Mary Kate, Georgia Davies, Lilly Hill, her husband Nolan, Collin Forth, William Forth, Maggie Forth, Joseph Forth and Bennett Taylor, her great great grandchildren Eli Hill and Liam Hill, her sister-in-law Vicki Crow and many nieces and nephews. God so loved the world that He gave his only son so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but have eternal life.
A funeral service will be held at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, located at 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. The service is scheduled for January 23, 2026, starting at 10:00 am.
