Newman proudly served his country in the United States Navy and Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, trading cars, fishing, casinos, spending time with his family, and he was most definitely an avid OU fan.
Newman was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Imogene Pollard; brother, Hoyt Pollard; sisters, Willow Dean Dudley and Betty Holleen Boswell. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary (Workman) Pollard; son, Mike Pollard; step-children, Don, Dean, Kent and Carolyn Workman; sisters, Mona Felton and Emma Jean Woodall; many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneralhome.com
