Nita was born April 20,1932 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Hazel and Loel Goodier. After graduating from Blackwell High School she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bill Ebert. They lived in Stillwater, OK while Bill finished college then moved to Bartlesville, OK for 5 years with a two-year stent in Vista, California with the Marine Corps prior to settling in Oklahoma City in 1957. Nita met some of her dearest friends through her work as an Elementary School secretary at Zachary Taylor and Quail Creek schools. After retiring as school secretary she worked retail at Jaeger Clothing store and eventually managed the OKC Junior League Designer Consigner Store until it closed in 2001. Nita adored her family and friends. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. One of her favorite pastimes was playing bridge with dear friends. As a dedicated and active member of Crown Heights Christian Church, Nita served as a Deaconess, taught Sunday school, and delivered "Meals on Wheels". She was also an active member of P.E.O Sisterhood, Chapter BF for 28 years. She will always be remembered for her sweet, infectious smile, her kindness, and her gentleness.
Nita is also survived by daughters Karen Brewer and husband Roger, Leigh Ann Albers and husband Paul; grandsons Eric Brewer and wife Emily, Clay Brewer, Mike Brewer, Cory Brewer, and Donald Albers; sisters-in-law Dora Goodier and Norma Vickers; brother-in-law Don Brewer and several wonderful, loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; her brother Paul Goodier; brother-in-law Derry Ebert and wife Carolee; sister-in-law Bobbie Brewer; brother-in-law Don Vickers. The family would like to sincerely thank her dear caregivers, Monica Martinez, Maribell, Cinthia, Nicole, and Ginger, and the excellent physicians, nurses, and health care professionals at the Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Crown Heights Christian Church, 4020 N. Western, OKC, OK 73118.
