Mrs. Cheek was my first grade teacher at Traub Elementary. She was my favorite teacher at Traub. I continued visit her into my early 20s. She was always very kind and a great listener. She helped me get through some of most troubling years (teen years). She will be terrible missed. She has touched and shaped the lives of thousands of children over years.

Norma was a wonderful person, teacher, coach, and friend. We spent many hours together playing tennis or watching Shanie, Gina, Misty, and Jamie play. She had such a great sense of humor and a great heart. I’ll always remember the good times we had together. Rest In Peace, Dear Friend.

Mrs. Cheek was my high school tennis coach and my biggest advocate. She was always so sweet and fiercely loyal to me. She would fight for me (at seeding meetings etc). She was always such a loving, kind and compassionate lady! She exemplified the fruits of the spirit that the Bible describes in the way she lived her life!
