Othello "Thella" Flowers Graham

Othello “Thella” Flowers Graham passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 25th, 2021. She was born July 28th, 1926 in Brownwood, Texas to Luther Thomas and Lena Belle (Williamson) Flowers.

After graduating high school, she would marry Virgle Ray Graham. The couple would welcome their two children, who Thella was proud to raise. As Virgle was an oilman, the family would move around the country quite a bit before settling down in Oklahoma.

Thella was a woman who always “did it her way,” a fiery and passionate person through and through. Throughout her life she was able to cross off many items from her bucket list, including meeting Ronald Regan and Charlton Heston. When she wasn’t planning her next adventure, you would find her playing bridge, dancing, or getting her hands dirty in the garden.

Thella is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Virgle Ray Graham. She will have a chance to “waltz across Texas” with him again.

To cherish her memory and share her stories she leaves behind her children Gary Chris Graham, wife Constance Jean of Yukon, Oklahoma; Leia Rae Mandile, husband Joseph Anthony, of Dallas, Texas; brother Thomas Murray Flowers, wife Rhelda, of Brownwood, Texas; sister Dortha Bernice Chrane, husband Cecil Nation, of San Antonio, Texas; sister Johnny Gyndolin Smith, husband Elvis J., of San Angelo, Texas; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two nieces, and three nephews.

A visitation will be held Monday November 29th, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and she will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
