On Sunday, November 27th, beloved mother and wife Patricia Ann Lefebvre passed away at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City due to illness. She is survived by husband Paul, son John Paul, daughter-in-law Audrey, sister Wilma, and brother Tim. Over an almost 40 year marriage, Pat grew to care deeply for and rely on her sister-in-law, Michelle, and Michelle's husband, Joe Carter. She also highly valued her relationship with Audrey's family. Caring for family in all its configurations was at the core of Pat's being.
Born in Watonga, OK September 18, 1944 to Lucille and Lester Blevins, she was one of six children. Pat was proud of her work as a legal assistant. She married Paul Lefebvre in Oklahoma City where they had a son in 1983. Many years were spent living in Edmond, OK until moving back to Oklahoma City in 2002.
Pat's greatest joy in life was loving, raising and being supportive of her son. Pat always believed she had been blessed beyond measure by having John Paul. His departure for the Marine Corp. right out of highschool, and his subsequent deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, tested her greatly, but she always held onto the belief that he would return safely. John Paul's work as an Oklahoma City police officer was almost as worrying to Pat as was his overseas deployments. Regardless, she was intensely proud of her son's service to the nation and Oklahoma City.
Pat deeply loved her daughter-in-law Audrey, and commented many times just how amazed she was at Audrey's energy, capacity and intelligence. She understood how essential Audrey was to John Paul's happiness. Pat had a passion for cooking, music, and art. She had a love of birds, dogs, flowers and the piano. She enjoyed cooking wonderful dinners for family and friends from around neighborhood, and became well known for baking great pies at holidays.
Despite facing health challenges, Pat always remained positive, supportive, and proud of her family. Pat’s funeral will be held at the graveside at Rose Hill Cemetery on Saturday, December 3rd at 11:00 a.m.
