Patrick Arthur Burton

Patrick (Pat) Arthur Burton, 61, Oklahoma City, OK, passed away February 3, 2013 at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born June 8, 1951 in Tulsa, OK to Virginia and Thomas Burton. Pat graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa. He attended Oklahoma State in Stillwater and Northeastern Oklahoma in Miami. Pat moved to Oklahoma City in 1985 to start his own business, Blade Services. In 1986 he married Leisa Fader of Tulsa and they made their home in Oklahoma City. Pat loved life and never met a stranger. He enjoyed planning trips as much as taking them. His laugh was infectious and he always loved a good story. Pat is survived by his wife, Leisa, and daughter, Ellen. He is also survived by his sister Debbie (Pat) Quinn of Paragould, AR; and brothers, Tom Burton of Hot Springs, AR; and Mike (Debbie) Burton of Tulsa. Pat is also survived by eight nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people of Good Shepherd Hospice for their care and compassion during Pat’s illness. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8005 Dorset Dr., OKC.
