Phillip Bruce Bookout, 65, born July 15, 1954, in Okemah, Oklahoma passed away December 23, 2019, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Kenneth Ray Bookout and Ina Paulyne (Witham) Bookout. Phillip was a longtime forklift operator at the General Motors Auto Assembly Plant in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He loved NASCAR, cars, and motorcycles, collected Hot Wheel cars, and loved race cars both watching races and driving race cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Ina Bookout, and one sister-in-law, Sue Bookout. Survivors include one brother, Steve Bookout of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, two nieces, Cherí and her husband Brad Cassity of Glenpool, Oklahoma, and Amy and her husband Mike Watson of Bixby, Oklahoma, three great-nieces and nephews, Cynnamon, Alyx, and Elliott; Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins, as well as dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2020 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, OK, 73141 with a private burial to follow at Jamison Cemetery, McLoud, Oklahoma.
