Quentin Richard Kluver, 61, of Jones, Oklahoma, passed away on August 31, 2025. He was born on October 28, 1963, in Heidelberg, Germany, to Ray Weaver and Anita Weaver. In 1967, Anita married Fred Kluver, and together Fred and Anita lovingly raised Quentin, along with his brother, Kenny Ray Kluver, and his sister, Candi Whitmarsh (married to Charles Whitmarsh). Quentin also shared a close bond with his stepbrother, Dean Young. Both his fathers, Ray Weaver and Fred Kluver, preceded him in death. His mother, Anita Kluver, survives him.
Quentin grew up in Del City and graduated from Del City High School. From a young age, he had an eye for detail and a gift with his hands. He spent more than 40 years perfecting his craft as a master tile setter, working with ceramic tile, marble, and granite. To his clients and those who saw his work, Quentin’s creations weren’t just flooring — they were art. Each piece reflected his artistry, patience, and pride, and his reputation as a craftsman was admired throughout the community. Just as important as the work itself, Quentin always had someone by his side to teach. He loved taking others under his wing, guiding them, and sculpting them into amazing talents who carried his lessons forward.
Quentin was married twice in his life. His first marriage was to Rhonda Self, with whom he welcomed his oldest son, Ryan Kluver. He later married Sonya Rains, with whom he shared two children, Jennifer Stursa and Jeff Stursa. His family was the center of his life, and his greatest joy came from being a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children—Ryan, Jennifer, and Jeff—and his grandchildren: Emma Kluver, Elle Kluver, Jack Stursa, Sonny Stursa, and Starlie Stursa, who lovingly called him “Papa Q.”
Quentin’s passions were as diverse as they were meaningful. Every day on his lunch break, he could be found working through a crossword puzzle, a ritual that sharpened his mind and gave him quiet joy. He never lost a game of Trivial Pursuit and proudly held the title of family Jeopardy champion. Quentin was a lifelong sports fan, especially of OU football and Thunder basketball, and he had a deep love of racing—particularly working on his granddaughter Elle’s race cars. He could always be found in his shop, working on various projects, tinkering with cars, listening to music, and laughing with friends and family. He had a soft spot for animals, never turning away a rescue brought to him by his kids and grandkids. Known for his Panama straw hat, his love of good barbecue ribs, and his welcoming spirit, Quentin made an impression everywhere he went.
He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and love for family. His legacy lives on not only in his family, but in everything his hands touched.
