Ralph Allen Jones was born on February 8, 1938, in Bixby, OK. He was the tenth of thirteen children born to Pinkey and Clara Bell (Lewis) Jones. When he was very young, the family moved to Checotah where he grew up and graduated from Checotah High School in 1956. He earned money as a young boy running newspaper routes on his bicycle and, as a teen, he ran the projector at the local movie theater and drive-in. He attended OSU Tech earning an Electronics Technician Certification. He had two children, Timothy and Evelyn, with his first wife, Martha. He later married Susan and they made their home in Jones, OK. They spent over 40 years together until his passing. He was exceedingly humble and family oriented. He cooked a weekly dinner at their home so he knew he would get to see everyone at least once a week! If you needed help, he would give it to you but expected you to learn from it. He enjoyed woodworking. He loved his country and learning about its history. He tried to save everything, growing up in the WW2 era, nothing was supposed to be wasted. He also learned to fix almost anything and if it couldn’t be fixed, he saved the pieces because it might be useful for something else. And he liked to share his knowledge of fixing and building things with his kids and grandkids. Especially, restoring his 55 Ford with his son, Tim. Ralph is survived by his wife Susan, of the home. Son: Timothy Jones (Twila) of Choctaw and daughter: Evelyn Guerrero (Juan) of Del City. Step-son: David Cheshire of OKC. Grandchildren: Cory Morris, Sara Couch, John Guerrero, Christopher Cheshire, and Timothy Guerrero, and five great-grandchildren (Alaina, Adelyn, William, Theodore, and Nicholas).
