“Well done, My good and faithful servant,” are the words Rev. John William Hauser, of Oklahoma City, received when he entered the gates of Heaven on November 16, 2025, with his faithful and beloved wife, Filese, by his side. Rev. John was 72 years young.
Rev. John was born December 11, 1952, at Baxter Hospital in Shawnee, OK. He graduated in May 1971, from Lomega High School in Omega, OK. After a time at Oklahoma State University, Rev. John joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Devens, Massachusetts, where he served in the field of Military Intelligence from 1972-1975. He received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology in May 1978, from Central State University, in Edmond, OK, which is now the University of Central Oklahoma. He later received his Master’s Degree in Education and Counseling Psychology in May 1984, also from Central State University.
Rev. John worked for several years in the Oklahoma Prison System as a Substance Abuse Counselor, and served on the Warden’s Board. He met his future wife, Filese (who is a Christian Recording Artist) in the Prison System as he worked there and Filese was ministering there in music. They married on April 17, 1981, in Moore, OK.
Widely considered the Pastoral Patriarch of the Hauser family, he served in numerous areas of ministry his entire adult life. Rev. John’s love and devotion for his Lord opened many opportunities for ministries when in 1982 he became the first Christian Counselor at a YMCA facility in a five state radius, serving through the YMCA in Oklahoma City. At the same time, he also began a prison ministry, providing services to spiritually starved people across Oklahoma.
In 1984, Rev. John began his Diaconal studies to enter the Pastorate of the United Methodist Church denomination. He served for 16 years as lead pastor for the United Methodist Churches in Kiowa, Pittsburg, Savanna, Waukomis and Chickasha, OK. In May 1997, he completed his Ordination for Ministry in the United Methodist Church. In 1986, God birthed Son Grace Music Ministries (SGMM) of which Rev. John became President, working with son, Jeff, as Vice President, and his wife, Filese, as CEO. While Pastoring in Chickasha, he had a two year weekly television program, Mighty Men of Valor.
His wife, Christian Recording Artist, Filese Hauser, had traveled on the road of Ministry from 1986 to the year 2000, when at that time Rev. John joined Filese on the field in Mobile Ministry as Evangelists. Rev. John & Filese Ordination to Ministry transferred to the IPHC in the year 2000, and from that time until 2019 they traveled extensively across the United States and abroad, sharing the Good News and Gospel in Word and Song of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Also during this time, the Lord used them strongly in Christian and Family Counseling Ministry.
In 2019, Rev. John & Filese began serving as Interim Pastor’s at Mount Zion Church in Hydro, OK, where they remain, and Filese will continue on with the Call of God upon their lives to full time ministry.
Rev. John W. Hauser is survived by his parents, Eugene and Leatrice Nan Hauser of Lomega; his wife, Filese of the home; his children, Jeff and (wife) Lisa Gonzales of Moore, OK; Melinda and (husband) Paul Melena of Omaha, NE; Donovan and (wife) Rachel Hauser of Grand Island, NE; one sister, Diana Heusel and family, one brother, Doug Hauser and family.
