

Richard Jack Curnutt of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away on October 22, 2024. He was born in Garrett, Illinois, on September 30, 1942, to parents James Fares Curnutt and Opal Ruah Anderson. On May 5, 1988, he married Kathaleen Rose Curnutt, sharing decades of love and laughter.
He retired as the Vice President of Manufacturing from Great Plains Coca-Cola Company in 1993. Those who knew him well remember his love for a quiet day, sitting in his favorite chair with his cherished cats close by. Known for his big heart, he found purpose in serving others by visiting the homebound, bringing them communion and companionship. A man of faith, he was an active member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Richard is survived by his wife Kathaleen Curnutt of Midwest City, OK; children Jackie Ellis (Alan) of Oklahoma City, OK; Christy Curnutt (Mason Bell) of Fort Worth, TX; Claudia Robles of Norman, OK; Kim Toelle (Kim Dansereau) of Oklahoma City, OK; and Chris Toelle (Sherilyn) of Buffalo Springs, TX; along with 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Fares Curnutt; his mother, Ruah Burcheard; his stepfather, Claude Burcheard; his son, James Curnutt; his granddaughter, Melanie Schira; and Wanda Curnutt, mother of his children.
