Robert Eugene Dukes

Robert Estell Eugene Dukes, 73, passed away on July 13, 2012 in Shawnee, OK. He was born in Spencer, OK on Sept 23, 1938 to Charles H. Dukes and Dollie Elizabeth Sanders. Robert is survived by two sons: Robert Dukes and family of Antlers, OK and Daniel Duke of Longtown, OK; three daughters: Bootsie Bennett and family of Keota, Ok, Sylvia Wright and family of Noble, OK and Dee Marsha and family of Columbia, TN; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Dollie; three brothers: Dee Dukes, Kenneth Dukes, and Leon Dukes; two sisters: June Hatherbrook and Jewell Whitlock; also one great-grandson, Daniel George and one great-granddaughter, Ayla Jones. Prior to Robert’s retirement, he worked as a roofer and yard manager, construction, small engine repair, emergency medical technician and 1st responder. He was a CPR instructor, fireman and civil defense, reserve Deputy Sheriff for Oklahoma County and armed security guard. Robert enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing dominoes, visiting and drinking coffee with friends and family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with burial following in Kolb Cemetery, Spencer, Oklahoma.
