

Robert Kenneth Hussong, 66, of OKC, passed away April 20, 2011. He was born December 27, 1944 in Kaufman, Texas, to Hubert and Venetta Hussong. Robert graduated Kimball High School, Dallas, Texas, and received his BS in Education, Industrial Education and his MS in Education, Adult Career and Technical Education, both from the University of Central Oklahoma. Robert was a member of A.C.T.E., OKACTE, AFT, and Skills USA. Robert was retired from the United States Air Force after attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He served 2 years in the Army and 21 years Air Force. Robert retired from the AWACS Division at Tinker Air Force Base.After his retirement he went on to teach school, teaching at Northwest Classen from 1984-2009 and 2 years at Roosevelt Middle School from 2009- present. Robert is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Virginia "Jennie" Hussong and Ruby Norris. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Anita Hussong; daughter, Sissy and husband Don Runions of Denton, TX; granddaughter, Emilie Runions of Denton, TX; sister-in-law, Alma and L.D. Cannon; nephew, Mark and Terri Cannon, nieces, Pat and Matt Barrett, Karen Ellis; brother, Sammy Hussong of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Oleta Loopey of Denton, TX; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, as well as many other family, friends and co-workers that he cared about so very much. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "Friends of Northwest Classen" Scholarship Fund. Services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 2:00PM, in the Hahn-Cook Chapel. A visitation will be held Monday evening, April 25th, at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, TX, from 6 to 8PM. A graveside service and interment will be held at the Hilltop Cemetery in Carrollton, Texas, Tuesday, 1:00PM, April 26, 2011.
