Ron was born at home in Glenwood, Arkansas to Sterling and Ollie Crews. He attended and graduated from Glenwood Highschool. He was retired from the Newcastle Hardware Store and was Medic in the Navy during the Vietnam War. After the war he worked on the Children’s Ward in a military hospital until he was honorably discharged.
Ron enjoyed working on the property he and Gloria put their hearts into and shared with the kids and neighbors of their community. He will be remembered for his mischief, his kindness, and his absolute love for any kid he ever met.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; his two sisters, Lola and Diann; his daughters Karen & Goldie; his sons James, Phillip and David; his grandchildren Kristia, Devin, Karissa, Ares, Rachel, Megan, Kelsey, Brody, Tucker, Addison, Devin, and Courtney; and numerous great grandchildren.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
