Rose Marie Rudkin

Born in Del Rio, TX, she was the daughter of Refugio Perez and Candida Cecelia (Flores). She was the wife of David Rudkin, sharing 60 years of marriage. Rose and David met at the Fort Sam Houston swimming pool in 1964, and were married in San Antonio, TX February 20th, 1965.They moved to Jackson, MS and had their first child, David, in December 1966. Shortly thereafter they moved to Oklahoma and had their second child, Mark, in June 1969.

Rose worked as an administrative assistant for Oklahoma City Public Schools and finalizing her career with Aetna Insurance as a network provider. Rose and David set out on their dream of being full-time RVers, leaving Oklahoma in 2000 shortly after David retired. They traveled the United States from Texas to Wisconsin, Michigan to Oregon, and all places in-between.

Many memories were made during those trips including Disneyland, Texhoma, learning to ride bikes, Gracie’s first BigMac, and Jered’s gin and tonic. They returned home to OKC in 2007.Rose enjoyed many activities such as sewing, quilting, beading, gardening, cooking, and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, kindness, willingness to help others, and love for her family, husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her spouse, David; sons, David Jr, Mark and wife, Leslie; grandchildren Jered and wife Kylie, Gracie and husband, Grant, and Olivia; as well as great grandchildren Evelyn and Lucas; and sisters, Lupita, Ronnie, and Cookie.

A Rosary service will be held at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK, 73159, on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
