

Rosemary B. Jonas Seaman passed away on September 7, 2010. Rosemary was born on October 24, 1923 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, to Clarence B. and Grace B. Jonas. After living in several towns in Oklahoma, the family settled in Oklahoma City. Upon graduating from Northeast High School, she entered the work force, employed at Tinker Air Force Base working in a clerical position. While working at Tinker, Rosemary met her future husband and love of her life, Herbert William (Bud) Seaman. They were married on September 15, 1946 and soon would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Rosemary and Bud were blessed with four beautiful children, Sherry Leigh, Gail Lynn, Curby Bud and Dennis Leslie, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Amaranth. One of her greatest joys in life was hosting all of the family holiday dinners and doing the cooking herself. She was quite a good cook. Rosemary is survived by her husband, Bud, of the home; children, Gail and Weldon Gillilan of Stillwater, Curby and Aleta Seaman of Edmond, and Dennis and Carolyn Seaman of Okarche; grandchildren, Mark and Debbie Anglin, Anthony Gillilan, Charles Gillilan, April and Carl Chipman, Clayton Seaman, Wesley Seaman, and Joe and Charlene Fryman; and great grandsons, Campbell Anglin, Austin Fryman and Devon Fryman. She is also survived by two sisters, Carolyn B. Jonas and Joan B. Shirley of Oklahoma City. Rosemary was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Newell; her parents, Clarence B. and Grace B. Jonas; and her 5 brothers, Major R. B. Jonas, USAF, Ret., Oscar Bill Jonas, Charles B. Jonas and twin brothers, Wilton and Milton Jonas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home chapel with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
