

Ross McKay, 58 year-old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away March 20, 2012 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Born January 27, 1954 in Gainesville, Texas, he was the son of Melvin McKay and Joyce Jones McKay. Ross loved shooting sports and all firearms; Sonic drinks; spending time with his children and grandchildren; genealogy; and history, especially the Civil War and World War II. He was a longtime truck driver for Oklahoma Roofing. Preceding him death were his parents and one brother, Morris McKay. Survivors include one son, Neal McKay and his girlfriend Brandy of Harrah, Oklahoma; 1 daughter, Melissa and her husband Bryant Hodges of Harrah, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, Sara; Austin; Kinzee; Julia; Shelby; Rozlin; Neal Jr.; and Parker; 1 brother, Dale McKay of Moore, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Janie Tapp of El Paso, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with burial to follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
