

Ruby Aduddell of Georgetown, Texas and formerly Waco, Texas and Midwest City, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 8, 2026. Ruby was born July 8, 1929 to R. Andrew and Freda Mae (Vail) Start in Hughes County, Oklahoma. She was the oldest of 13 children. Ruby graduated from Holdenville High School in 1948.
After graduation she was employed by Prior-Johnson & Schaff Clinic until she began working at Tinker Air Force Base in January 1955 from which she retired in 1990 after 31 years of service. Ruby was awarded the PRO Support Award in 1980, 1984 and 1988 while employed at Tinker Airforce Base.
Ruby married the love of her life, soulmate and best friend, Jimmie Dale Aduddell on January 28, 1955 and they had one daughter, Pam. Ruby stood by Jimmie’s bedside daily during his last two years of his life enduring the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s Disease. They had a fairy tale love for each other which was also deeply embedded in their love and commitment to serving the Lord and being a true Christian family.
Ruby loved to read and work crossword puzzles. She loved playing games with the family (especially her sisters) until she was unable to do so. She also loved to bowl and was a member of a bowling league while living in Midwest City, OK. She loved teaching junior aged girls in Sunday School. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and devout Christian and prayer warrior.
She was a member of Midwest City Church of the Nazarene and Bresee Church of the Nazarene (now Community Church of the Nazarene) during for the majority of her adult life. Since moving to Texas in 1999, she was a member of the Waco First Church of the Nazarene. After moving to Pflugerville, Texas in 2011, she was still active in attending church right up to her illness that preceded her passing.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, sisters Ida Mae Heltcel, Mary Rose Phillips, Ruth Rogers, Carol Start, Helen Prince and brothers Jimmy Lloyd Start and Floyd Start.
She is survived by her daughter Pam Felkner Onion and husband Robert Onion, granddaughter, Melissa Felkner Hammack and husband Erik Hammack, grandson Chris Felkner, great grandson Preston Felkner, great granddaughter Scarlett Felkner, 3 brothers, Robert, Larry and Eddy Start, and 2 sisters, Bessie LeBlanc and Goldie England and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a late lunch hosted and provided by Community Church of the Nazarene for family and close friends after graveside service. Location is 10200 SE 15th Street, Midwest City, OK 73130.
Visitation will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141, US, on May 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141, US, on May 16, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73141, US, on May 16, 2026.
