Ruby Lee Jones Flowers, age 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 5, 2011 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She is survived by her husband, Ken Flowers, married 42 years; daughters, Betty Alcorn and Linda Flowers; 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine Daugherty and Shirley Onstott and husband Frank; preceded in death by her brother, Charles Jones. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and step-children. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Ruby was born in Oklahoma City in 1932 and attended Capitol Hill High School. The family owes loving gratitude to the staff at South Park East and Crossroads Hospice for the selfless devoted daily care and love they showed to our mother. Funeral services will be held at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home on Saturday, January 8th at 10 a.m. with burial at Sunnylane Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, January 7th from 5 – 9 p.m. and the family will be receiving guests from 6 – 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
