Scott Mayfield was born June 4, 1963, in Ada, OK. He was preceded in death by his mother Caroline D. Mayfield. He was a graduate of LaRosen School in Lafayette, LA and worked at the Meadows Center for Opportunity in Edmond, OK for 38 years retiring in 2021.
He is survived by his father Charles H. Mayfield of Oklahoma City; OK, brother and sister-in-law David and Alishia Mayfield of Edmond, OK; nephew Nicholas Mayfield of Edmond, OK, niece Madelyn Mayfield of Washington D.C.; Uncle Mike Mayfield of Piedmont, OK; as well as numerous friends.
Scott was proud of his work at the Meadows and loved to tell you all about it. He participated in bowling at the Special Olympics each year and helped to coordinate the biweekly bowling nights for the Meadows bowling group. An enthusiastic fan of the OU Sooners and Dallas Cowboys, Scott’s rooms were always decorated in Crimson and Cream and Dallas Cowboy Blue. In his free time, Scott enjoyed creating colorful drawings with his vast collection of pens, pencils, and markers. A creature of habit, he ended every evening by eating two cookies while watching MASH.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Park Nursing Center for the loving care and compassion they have shown to Scott over the past year.
