

Sherry Jean (Hall) Atchley, 76, passed away on August 11, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Sherry was born on August 8th, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents Ralph and Dorothy (Ferguson) Hall.
Sherry attended Shields Heights High School and then began her career at Tinker Air Force Base where she obtained many certifications. She retired from Tinker AFB after 25 years of continued service and considered it one of her greatest achievements. Another one of Sherry's greatest achievements was raising her 6 children with respect and discipline. Sherry was also a faithful member of Faith Community Christian Church where she also taught Sunday school.
Sherry did not tolerate laziness. She would whoop you one if you lied to her, even if she found out later. She was a very loving mother. She applied many Band-Aids and made many trips to the emergency room. She made birthdays and holidays special. She sewed all of her kid's clothes, wiped tears from their faces and gave lots of loving hugs and kisses.
Sherry loved NASCAR, crocheting, camping, traveling, and spending time with both her children and grandchildren. Some of her favorite vacation memories were: visiting Mount Rushmore, Vegas, going on Caribbean cruises and going to Australia.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Eugene Hall and Dorothy Ferguson Hall; brothers, Richard Dean Hall, Ralph Eugene Hall and his wife Tommie Pettilo Hall.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Atchley; daughters, Deborah Carver of Grove, Oklahoma, Christina and husband William Milligan of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Michelle Callahan of Jones, Oklahoma; sons, Daniel Carver and wife Virginia of Anderson, Missouri, Brian Carver and wife Jackie of Garfield, Arkansas, and Brandon Mayes and wife Katherine of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma; she also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Sherry will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2021 at Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral services will held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home Chapel, Oklahoma City, OK with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, OK.
