Shirley graduated from Butler High School and attended college for short time. She then lived in Kansas City, Missouri where she met and married Ronald Aiello; together they had three children.
Shirley and the children then moved onto Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she built a new life for them. She first worked for Village Bank, and eventually ended her career at Hertz. She also moonlighted as a sales rep for Mary Kay.
Shirley became an active member of the Village Christian Church as a deacon and regularly enjoyed attending her bible study groups. In addition, she was a proud member of the local Red Hat Society where she held the title of Queen for a stint.
Shirley had a witty sense of humor and a zest for life. She was known to be very devoted to her faith and family. She could often times be found surrounded by family and friends enjoying a multitude of activities ranging from traveling, to weekly meetings at the local ceramics store, bridge, and even dominoes.
Shirley passed peacefully in Guthrie, OK, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Mabel, and siblings, Marjorie Franklin, William Scifers, and Pat Barnett. She is survived by her three children, Cindy Countryman and her husband Robert, Vincent Aiello and his wife Ling, and Spencer Brian Aiello and his life partner Joe Knudson. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley will be remembered by all those who loved and knew her, and will be forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Hahn-Cook/ Street & Draper Funeral Home.
