Shizuko “Cathy” Chambers went to be with Jesus on February 2, 2025. She was 93 years old.
Shizuko was born in Kyushu, Japan on October 15, 1931. She was a child during World War II and later worked at the air force base in Japan where she met her husband, Jerald Chambers. They married on April 2, 1958, and returned to build their lives in Oklahoma. Jerald passed away on April 1, 2002.
She is survived by her four children, Gary, Roger, Ron, and Lisa; nine grandchildren, Josh, Kati, Matt, Chad, Jacob, Maranda, Crystal, Wes, and Kyler; and eleven great-grandchildren, Alissa, Rylee, Tanner, Bailee, Connor, Dax, Dylan, Luke, Landri, Lane, and Scout.
Shizuko loved gardening, flowers, shopping, traveling, and exercising. She was an active member at First Baptist Church in Choctaw since 1968. She loved life and her family and was very active until her lengthy battle with dementia that took her from us and delivered her to her Lord and Savior.
