Skyla Ann Gipson, 26, of OKC passed from this life on January 10, 2020. She was born on October 17, 1993 in Lawton, OK to Kevin Bryan Gipson and Dahn Marie Parker. Skyla lived in Phoenix, AZ before relocating to OKC in the mid 1990’s. She attended Capitol Hill High School and following her schooling she went to work for several years at the Crest store at NW 23rd and Meridian.

Skyla enjoyed drawing, doing arts and crafts projects, spending time with her family, cooking for and reading to her children, cleaning her home, and listening to music that was decades older than her. She was extremely proud and protective of her family and she was fiercely independent. Skyla loved to laugh and make others smile. She was always the loudest one in any room and she was never happier than when she was hanging out with her kids. She loved them very much and had a unique way of making each of them feel like they were the most important and her favorite.

Skyla Gipson was a loving mother, a caring daughter, a loyal sister, and a trusted friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father Kevin Gipson, son Bear Gipson Harjo, her Nana Cynthia Rodriquez, and her great grandma Geraldine Alexander.
