Stephan Roy Newberry, 65 year old resident of Spencer, OK, passed away July 21, 2015. Born November 23, 1949 in Furth, Germany, he was the son of Roy and Ingerborg (Escherle) Newberry. Stephan was a US Navy Veteran, serving on the USS Oriskany aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War, and worked at the Tinker Air Force Base for 26 years. He enjoyed his life after retirement; he enjoyed camping, spending time in the mountains, and building and riding motorcycles. He is survived by his parents; a son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Marie Newberry of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; two sisters, Diana Blackburn of Spencer, Oklahoma, and Janell Walker of Spencer, Oklahoma; one grand-daughter, Remi Newberry; two nephews, Cory and Ethan Blackburn; and one niece, Audra Walker.
Funeral services will be held 2:00P.M., Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel in Midwest City, OK with Rev. Ron Ogle officiating.
