Sue was a classmate of mine and a good friend. She was always so kind and friendly to everyone . I haven't been able to get to very many of the Alva Reunions so haven't seen or heard from her in a long time.
It was so interesting to read her obituary as it informed me of her many good works. She was a lovely person inside and out.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May you find peace .
With Much Sympathy,
Nancy Roepke Gwaltney

What can I say? Sue was an extremely special friend to me. She definitely influenced my life as a teacher. My favorite memories are our field trips to the zoo with Julie and Virginia. We had so much fun and laughed a lot. I will always love and appreciate the special time we had. Love ya bunches, Dorinda

Sue will be sadly missed by all the members of the AHS Class of 1960. I never saw her without a smile. Some of my fondest memories are of our part in the drum section of the Alva High School band---Sue -tiny but strong carrying that big bass drum--me with my snare drum banging against my knee. What fun we had!

Sue was a valued member of the Class of '60. I know the "Golden Girls of Alva" will be sorry not having her help as the plan for the class's 60th anniversary reunion. She will will be missed. She was younger than I am, but not by much (she was born 2 days before me) and I expect she was wiser as well.

I will miss Sue so much. She always had a smile even when I knew she was hurting but I will miss her saying Barbara it is just a game. And when we won she would laugh and say we did it. I told you it is just a game. Her smile was contagious.
