Susan Ellen McCoy

Susan was born on December 9, 1957 in Trenton, New Jersey. She grew up the eldest of five children and as a child, her family lived in Kaiserslautern, Germany and Montana before settling in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Susan graduated from Carl Albert High School in 1976.

She married Tim McCoy in 1977 and they recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary. They have three children, Jessica, Kathryn, and Kyle. Susan worked at Tinker Federal Credit Union in the 1980s and the 2000s, totaling over 15 years of service.

Susan was able to touch many lives throughout her 57 years. She was known for her candor, kindness, and willingness to help others. She unofficially adopted numerous people throughout the years, who were friends of hers or her children’s and fondly referred to each of them as her “kids”.

Susan is survived by her husband, Tim, daughters Jessica and Kathryn, son Kyle, son in law Curtis, granddaughters Abygail and Clara, her mother Jeanette, sisters Cheryl and Nancy, brother Fred, mother in law Naomi, brother in law John, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father in law Ed and brother Thomas.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on October 24, 2015 at Grace Place Baptist Church, 9300 S. Anderson Road Oklahoma City, OK, at 1:00 pm.
