After graduating in 1966, Terry promptly moved across country in a 1962 Rambler with $300 in her pocket, to New York City where she began a long and successful career in creative advertising.
After her bold beginnings at N.W. Ayer on Madison Avenue, she went on to co-found several advertising companies throughout her career to include Kolker Talley Hermann of New York City, and Talley Writes! of Tomkins Cove. Terry created many successful advertising campaigns, one of the most recognized campaigns was the TV ad and media jingle, “The Little Blue Jug is Dynamo!”

Terry published two books on historic homes along the Hudson River, Oh! What a Grand View and Gems on the Hudson. She spent many happy years researching and photographing the villages on the Hudson River north of New York City.
Terry recently retired and relocated from Tomkins Cove, New York to Oklahoma City where she was able to share the last year of her life with her sister and brother in law, Cynde and Kenny Holloway, nephew Jeffrey Holloway, bother Pat Talley, aunts Helen Keener and Olevia Robinson, and cousin Janet Keener. Terry leaves behind many old and new friends, both in New York and in Oklahoma City.
Terry’s life was filled with adventure and she was always fearless in the face of new challenges. She traveled the world with her longtime companion, Jay Hirsch, embracing life and living it to the fullest.
