Terri Elizabeth Long (Brewer), 49 of Moore, OK died Monday, May 20, 2013. She was born to Jerry and Mary Brewer on May 27, 1963 in Oklahoma City, OK. She grew up in Nicoma Park with her two younger brothers, Darry Brewer of Oklahoma City and Garry Brewer of Orlando, Florida. Terri graduated from Mount St. Mary’s High School in 1981. She was a proud member of the Moore community, along with her husband Kenneth Long. Terri was a long time employee of the Federal Aviation Administration in the Registration Division at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. Terri loved traveling, photography, anything Harley Davidson, and helping others. She loved to read and camped out to see the Twilight series with her daughters. She was a tireless volunteer for many causes including many of her daughter’s school functions. She would often remind her children of a famous Janis Joplin quote “Don’t compromise yourself, you’re all you’ve got.” Her children converted her to the powerfully orange ways of Pistol Pete, much to the dismay of her husband. Terri was a caring, compassionate soul who never met a stranger and treated friends like family. Her smile and laughter were infectious. Her proudest accomplishments were her three children: Terry Don Costilla, Jenna Costilla, and Alyson Costilla. She doted on her grandchildren, Brayden Silva and Ella Costilla and loved to hear them call her “Mimi”. She was looking forward to her youngest daughter, Alyson’s, graduation from Southmoore High School this week and was also preparing to celebrate her 50th birthday. Her life tragically ended on May 20th when she stopped at a convenience store to seek shelter from the impending storms. Her home was also destroyed in the devastation. Contributions may be made for the benefit of her family to the: Terri Long Memorial Fund at any Bank of the West Location. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
