

Thomas B. Hayes, 83 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away on July 10, 2017 at his home. Born December 9, 1933 in Montgomery, Alabama, he was the son of William Crawford Hayes and Erma Lee Tate. Tom graduated from Holtville H.S. in Deatsville, AL in 1953 then attended Auburn University.
He enlisted in the USAF in 1954. He was on the Air Force's ball team and played both baseball and football, traveling all over the world. He was retired as a TSgt Medical Service Technician after 23 years. He was then employed in occupational medicine at Tinker AFB as a medical machine technician for 27 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go pheasant hunting in Nebraska and fishing at Lake Texoma.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Billie Hayes of the home; 3 sons, Thomas J. and his wife Stacy Hayes of Oklahoma City; Samuel C. and his wife Jenni Hayes of Harrah; and Price and his wife Felicia Hayes of Newalla; 1 daughter, Tracy Marcum of Edmond; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Following full Military Honors by a U.S. Air Force Honors Detail, burial will be in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
