

Thomas graduated from Northwest Classen High School on May 25th, 1967 and enlisted in the U.S. Army on June 12th of that year.
While serving in action in Vietnam he was awarded the Bronze Star with the “V” for Valor in Combat along with other service medals.
He was honorably discharged on January 15th, 1970.
On September 10th, 1971 he married the love of his life Sheila S. Johnson.
They were blessed with 3 children whom he loved:
Deborah Jo (married to Bob Wilkie) of Luther, Oklahoma
Rebecca Joy (married to Eric Wolfinger) of Luther, Oklahoma
Nicholas Edward (married to Heather White) of Norman, Oklahoma
He was beloved by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In 1978 Thomas graduated from Central State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
His parents were Pauline Price and Phillip Johnson, both of whom preceded him in death.
He has two brothers:
Michael Johnson of Titusville, Florida
Joseph Johnson of Edmond, Oklahoma

The great grandchildren are:
Travis Rush Brownfield Jr.
Lane Brownfield
He was above all a gentleman, patriot, and devoted husband.
His hobbies included golf, playing the guitar, traveling, chess, and learning Spanish. He especially enjoyed arguing politics and economics but had a great sense of humor. He would tell life stories and jokes that would leave one bemused and enraptured for hours. Thomas should have written a book.
In recent years he enjoyed a quiet life with his wife on their acreage in Arkansas with their miniature donkeys, goats, ducks, and dogs to care for.
He will be truly missed by all.
