Timothy M. Joesting was born on September 14, 1953 in Pekin, IL. He passed away on August 8, 2022 in Oklahoma City, OK. During high school, he worked for a local general aviation airport where he fell in love with airplanes. After graduating from Camdenton High School, he joined the US Marine Corps. During his time in the Marine Corps, he did 2 tours in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. After an honorable discharge from the Corps, he went on to graduate from Rose State College with an Associates Degree in Technology. His love for airplanes took him to a long career in the aviation industry working as a self-employed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic and for the Dept. of the Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base where he spent his time maintaining his beloved B-52 Bomber. In 2016, he retired from Tinker AFB and spent his time at home visiting with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Joesting of Pekin, IL., mother Mary (Stephens) Duvall of Denver, CO., brother Michael Joesting of Jacksonville, NC., and sister Cindy Frantz of Knoxville, TN. He is survived by his daughter Dalena Reed and husband Marty of Shawnee, OK, granddaughter Lily Grace of Shawnee, OK., brother Scott Joesting and wife Nema of Marquette Heights, IL., sister Jill Watson and husband Mark of Williamsfield, IL., wife Rose (Oka) Joesting of Warr Acres, OK., and many, many nieces and nephews who live throughout the US.
