Tracy Murray Silvester was born to Tracy E. and Evalyn Silvester on April 9, 1939 in New York City. The family moved to Oklahoma City five years later, where Trace attended Edgemere Elementary, Harding Junior- Senior high, and was the second graduating class at N.W. Classen.
Trace married Suzanne Melton on October 28, 1960, and they recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary. Trace was an Anglophile “to the bone”, having made many trips to England. He was an avid collector of lead soldiers, trains, planes, and cars. He was also a reader of history and biographies.
Suzanne and Trace loved to travel, and always he would visit U.S. military cemeteries, looking for his uncle, Eddie Jones, a WWII casualty (a man he never knew).
Music was his passion, having been an original member of Canterbury Choral Society, and Master Chorale; and various church choirs.
Trace was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Eve, and son, Eric. He is survived by his wife; his son, Tim; his daughter, Robynne, her husband, Rick, their three sons, Ryan, Sean, and Colin; his brother, Terry, his sister Ellen, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
