Travis Alden Strout, 29, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, left this world to meet his Savior on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Travis was born in Abilene, Texas on January 5, 1989 to Larry and Darlene Strout. Travis’ proudest moment was when he married his beautiful bride, Tori Barnhouse. Travis was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and a great friend to all.

Travis was an outgoing people person who never met a stranger. He had a passion and a love for helping others. Travis was someone people could go to for advice or spiritual direction. He was all about being honest and transparent so if you wanted advice or his opinion on something, be prepared for brutal honesty. He was always thinking of ways to help and serve others.

Travis was a big family man. His family was very important to him. He loved spending time with his wife, parents, brother and sister-in-law. He even enjoyed spending time with his in-laws and they loved him as their own. He didn’t get to spend much time with his grandparents but when they were in town, he would be at his parent’s house to spend time with them while he could. Travis was a big kid, himself, so he had a blast when he was with his nephews, Knox and Parker.

Travis had such a big heart that he registered as an organ donor. He was able to donate some of his organs so that someone may be able to live while he could not. Travis was loved by so many and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Travis is survived by his wife, Victoria Strout; parents, Laurence and Darlene Strout; and brother/sister-in-law, Brandon and Jennifer Strout.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The Celebration of Travis’ life will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at North Church, 1601 W Memorial Rd., Oklahoma City, OK 73134. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to The Salvation Army of Oklahoma City – Adult Rehabilitation Center or the North Church Youth Program.

Travis was such a beautiful soul. He was one of the people who made coming to the ARC something that was easy for me. He always made me smile, never failed to hug me tight and kiss my cheek in greeting. He was the little brother I never had growing up. He was a blessing to many. Being able to sing with him in our little choir at the ARC was something that will always be a fond memory for me. I love and miss you little brother!!!

Dear Larry, Darlene and Brandon,
I have always had a special place in my heart for your sweet family. My heart is breaking for you as you go through this time. When I remember sweet Travis, he always had a big smile on his face, and he would usually be hugging or holding his mama's hand when he would come into the store. Just want you to know that I'm praying for you all and love you so deeply.

Comfort and Peace rest on your family,
Penny Maze Graham
