Vera Estelle Collins, 86, was born November 22, 1923 in Cloudy, Oklahoma to Edmond Ludy and Essie Adell (Wade) Butler. Vera grew up in southeastern Oklahoma and attended the Cloudy school district. At the age of 16, Vera married Joe Collins and they shared 62 wonderful years together before his passing in 2002. Vera loved her family immensely. She enjoyed cooking for them, and spending quality time with all of her children, and grandchildren.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Joe. Survivors include her children, Randel Collins and wife Toni, Sue Espinosa, Shelby Collins and wife Terri, Marcia Patton and husband Jim, Donnie Collins, Linda Reasoner and husband Randy; brother, JC Butler and wife Ann; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Norman, OK.
