

Verlon V. England Henson Blokzyl was born 12 Sept 1925 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Verlon graduated from Edmond High School in 1943 and went on to attend Central State University. She married Clyde Wilmer Henson on 22 August 1947. They had one daughter Cherye Milburn Persinko and one son Dan Henson. Verlon was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Wilmer Henson, parents James L. England and Nellie Mae England, two brothers Collis B England and Fred A. England and one sister Gladys Juanita Mackey. Verlon married Heinz W. Blokzyl and he also preceded her in death.
Verlon loved to travel, taking many cruises and traveling to Europe. She was a snow bird for several years after retirement, spending winters in Harlingen Texas.
She worked for the Ration Board, the Internal Revenue Service, TAFB and the Veterans Administration. She went on to raise her family and worked and retired from the Oklahoma Employment Commission in 1991. She was a member of Eastern Star and Amaranth.
Verlon is survived by her Daughter Cherye Persinko and husband Drew; Son Dan Henson and wife Norma; two Grandsons, Chad Milburn and Tim Henson and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Visiting Angels, Timberwood of Del City and Emerald Hospice for providing care, love and support in her final journey.
