Wanda Buddin was born January 20, 1932 in Lexington, OK. She passed on January 11, 2020 in Blanchard, OK. She was 87 years young when she passed. In her early childhood she lived on a farm. Although she felt like the farm life was a man’s work, her brothers and sisters each had their chores to do as well as play games with each other. In her adolescent years, she excelled in school and graduated at 16 years of age. She loved playing basketball for her school where she played the guard position. After graduation, she moved to OKC where she lived with Frank and Maudie Carr until the next school year started in September. For that summer, she worked at Montgomery Wards to make extra money. When the school year started she went to Hill’s Business School and she moved into her own apartment. Upon completion of her schooling she was placed at an oil investment company in OKC. Wanda had two loves in her life, besides the Lord. She met Ray Jackson at the age of 19. Ray and Wanda were married in May 1950 and had three children: Pamela, Stanley, and Sharon. She later met Horrace Buddin and they married in June of 1977. The proudest moment of Wanda’s life was seeing all three of her children and their accomplishments, such as school and college graduation, their weddings, the births of her grandchildren, retirement of all her children, her grandchildren’s weddings, and the birth of her great grandchildren. The proudest career accomplishment was retiring after 31 years of Federal Service. She worked at the Social Security Administration and Tinker Air Force Base, where she received many work awards and achievements. Wanda’s proudest personal accomplishment was attending and participating in various church functions such as tutoring children for Whiz Kids, singles ministry, and several others. In 2008 she began attending Tree of Life Fellowship until 2016 and she continued folling the ministry until her passing. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, three nephews, and one grandniece. Ms.Wanda was one of the kindest beautiful lady I have ever met. She a great Christian person and taught that to her children which she raised 3 great ones and some wonderful Grand Children and Great Grands. She showed them love up and beyond the highest.
I know that she is up there now making sure that they are all taken care of in their time of sorrow. She will be up there with her eye upon them for ever until they meet her again in her forever home with God.
