Warren Curtis Shaw of OKC, OK, went home to our Lord & Savior Saturday, February 27th. Born to Elvus & Gertrude Shaw December 15, 1921 in Lavaca, AR, growing up in the Geary, OK community. Highly regarded & known throughout the state of Oklahoma as one of the top land surveyors, beginning his lifetime career in 1940. Although officially “retired” from the OK Highway Dept, he didn’t truly retire from surveying until his health issues forced him just a few years ago. “Never met a stranger” was his motto & that was always the case as his love of traveling & people took him to every state in the union where he always ran into someone he knew. He was beloved by family & his abundance of friends, while being admired by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his wife & son, Almira & Allen, & brother, Elmer Shaw. Survived by his devoted sisters, B. Faye Shaw & Norma Buchtel, as well as his treasured 3 grandkids & 3 great-grandkids, Kassandra, Krista, Kyle, Cayden, Hadley, & Hunter, & daughter-in-law, Judy; and a wealth of wonderful close family & friends. His family wants to thank his special caregivers, Greg Whitlow & Marilyn Carter, & the staff of Bellevue Nursing Home.
