Wava Jean Rutherford, 94 year-old resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away October 10, 2023. She was born June 22, 1929 in Montague County, TX. She was the daughter of Cline and Sylvia (Syble) Flippin.
Jean retired from the VA Hospital. She was active in her church as long as she was able. She was an awesome daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, who loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include children, Chuck and wife Sandy Rutherford, and Sue Burrow; grandchildren, Keri and husband Steve Ruhl and Ed Rutherford; Great-grandchildren, Ashley Fleetwood, Jacob Rutherford, Christian Tatom, Margaret Darby, Alex Rutherford and Gage Tatom; 8 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband of 72 years, Edward, her sisters Nelba Smith and Vaunda Bussey.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, October 16, 2023 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK 73116 with a burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
