

William Henry “Bill” McMillian, 78, of Nicoma Park, OK, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 in Midwest City, OK. Bill was born January 5, 1936 to Will and Nancy McMillian in Idabel, OK. He joined the Marines at the young age of 16 and during his service he fought in the Korean War where he earned a purple heart. After his service in the Marines, Bill went to work for Richardson Painting Company and later Utility Service and Maintenance. He was a member of the IBEW Union. Bill loved to fish and enjoyed sitting on a bank and pulling bass or catfish out of the lake. He also spent time watching wrestling on television. His grandson, another William, fondly remembers his grandfather taking him and a friend to watch wresting live for a special outing. Bill was a kind hearted man and loved helping people. There is a long list of people that he helped and touched in some way over his 78 years. He will be missed by all. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Artie, of the home; daughter, Melba Frazier of Edmond; grandson, William McMillian of Nicoma Park; granddaughters, Nicole and Brooklyn Frazier, of Edmond; sister, Bonnie Holmes of Idabel; dear friend, Leon Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 sisters. Memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel.
