William “Bill” Servati, 57, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 after fighting a long and arduous battle against cancer. He enjoyed a beautiful life over the past 37 years with his wife Debbie Servati and their sons.
Born in Rochester, NY, he was the son of William G. Servati and Judith M. Booth and was raised with his four siblings, Belinda, Timothy, Griffith, and Carrie. He graduated from Healdton High School, Class of 1981. He worked for 36 years as an Electrician, beginning as a Journeyman and later becoming a Foreman. During his career, Bill worked for the IBEW serving as IBEW 1141 President for 15 years and Recording Secretary for 6 years. He served on multiple committees to include: JATC for 10 years, the Negotiating Committee, Building Committee, and Drug Testing Committee. He was a member with LLMCC and LMC. Bill also spent time as a delegate for AFL-CIO, Centennial Committee, Oklahoma Building Trades, Oklahoma State Electrical Association, and IBEW International Convention. Bill worked at OESCO for 25 years as a Foreman during this time as well, until finally retiring 2 years ago.
Bill enjoyed working on his stamp collection, photography, golf, drawing, collecting knives and cameras, hunting, visiting museums, attending music concerts, watching football, spending time with his grandchildren, shopping at Salvation Army every Saturday morning for dress shirts and ties, trivia games, shopping for antiques, and showing his love for his wife. He will be remembered for his smile, kind heart, generous spirit, compassion for others, his 70’s “Tom Selick” mustache, how smart he was and his willingness to teach others, his dry sense of humor and his dad jokes, his confidence, his determination to be right, he took pride in his appearance, never settled for 2nd best, was dedicated to his family, maintained high standards, and had large goals that he took pride in achieving. Bill was a private man of few words.
Bill is survived by his mother Judith Booth; his siblings Belinda and Tom Chambers, Timothy and Toni Servati, Griffith and Kristi Servati, and Carrie and HB Cooke; his wife Debbie Servati; his children Michael and Jay Montgomery, Randy and Annie Montgomery, Jerry Irons, and Raven Hessel; his grandchildren Kenneth Marshall, Caleb Story, Tatelyn Irra, Alexis Montgomery, Bailee Highfill, Adrik Rejon, Nathan Montgomery, and Aycen Southerland, and his beloved furbabies Walles McGillicuddy and Daisy Marie Mae. He is uncle to Aaron Irons, Rebekah Rannals, Abby Carico, Wyatt Carico, Justin, Jordan, Josh, Timothy Servati Jr, Chris Servati, Colton, Tucker, and Charlotte Servati. Bill joins with his father William G. Servati and his grandparents as ‘Spirits in the Sky.’
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 1pm at the Revival For Christ church located at 1005 SW 4th Street, Moore, OK 73160 with internment at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 10am – 7pm at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services located at 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave, OKC, OK 73159.
