William Walters

William Lee Walters, Jr. was born February 14, 1926 to William Lee Walters and Nannie Burkett Walters. He lived in Oklahoma City until enlisting in the Navy during WWII. He came home as a veteran and worked at Tinker Air Force Base until his retirement. Then at that time he retired to Lake Texhoma where he enjoyed fishing and the outdoors with his wonderful neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle and aunt, William and Betty Burkett. He is survived by his cousins, Gene and Naomi Burkett of Enid, Oklahoma, Barbara Burkett Nix of Edmond, Oklahoma and Joe Guy Burkett of Oklahoma City. He will be missed and loved by all of his family members as he goes into the hands of our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. A graveside service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
