

June was born in Rufe, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Charles Francis White and Margaret Mae Clayburn. June graduated from Wright City High School. She attended Southern Nazarene University. After receiving her first degree she began teaching. June eventually received her Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in adult education and computer science. She became a professor at Rose State College and started the computer science program at Rose State. June felt teaching was her calling and stayed a professor at Rose State until she retired.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, plants, flowers as well as painting. Mainly painting scenes of nature, but most of all, she enjoyed learning and teaching the word of God. June taught Sunday school and lead women’s groups for Bible study.
June is survived by her son-in-law; Sonny Cannady, stepson; Mike Killgore and spouse, Kay Killgore, grandchildren; Rod Cannady, Tab Cannady and spouse, Leah Cannady, Dalbert Cannady and spouse, Emily Cannady. Great-grandchildren; Beau Cannady, Blake Cannady, Cody Cannady, Seth Cannady, Addy Cannady, Colton Cannady, Cason Cannady, and Jackson Cefalo as well as numerous great great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her sister; Ruby Land, brothers; M.C White, R.D White and Lee White, son; Delbert Black and daughter; Angelia Cannady.
A visitation for Winona will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 10:00 am at Advantage Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Yukon Cemetery, 660 Garth Brooks Blvd, Yukon, OK 73099.
