

Pat attended the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He graduated with honors with a master’s of science in geology. Pat was a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force stationed in Roswell, New Mexico. He was honored and proud to have served.
Pat pursued a career in geology at Sun Oil and Gas for more than 20 years. During his career, he moved twenty-two times throughout Louisiana and Texas, working on oil and gas exploration projects. He eventually was relocated to Houston, where he became part owner in a design firm. There he was able to pursue his other passion, design and antiques. His home was featured in Architectural Digest.
Pat moved back to Oklahoma City to help his sister, Virginia Kimberlin Martin, care for their ailing parents. He and his sister established Kimberlin Inc. that was primarily focused on oil, gas and land management projects. In his later years, Pat was an avid gardener and remained active through staying current on geological topics, keeping fit by working out and maintaining his family home.
Pat was the son of Rosa and Za Kimberlin of Oklahoma City and brother to Virginia. He is survived by niece, Mary Ransdell and great niece, Lisa Lowe and her husband Bill and their children Robert, Daniel and Lily of New Jersey.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 10 am at Rose Hill Burial Park.
