Zella Mae Potter

Zella Mae Potter born March 31, 1928 was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She laid down to rest on September 1, 2010 and woke up in Heaven, with the love of her life.

She worked as a homemaker and was married for 59 years to Melvin Potter who she met on a playground as a child. He preceded her in death in 2006. She was an inspiration to all with her zest for life, contagious smile and kind heart. Zella enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening and dancing. She will be missed dearly.

Zella is survived by two sisters; Lois Lathrop and Wilma Meador, one brother; Kenneth Balch, four children; Barbara Floyd, Melvin Potter, Lana Llewellyn and Nancy Potter. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held, 10:00 am, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Guardian West Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
