Zola Beaves, 95 year-old resident of Midwest City, OK, passed away May 19, 2011 in Midwest City, OK. Born Dec. 4, 1915 in Hastings, OK, she was the daughter of James H. Meeks and Susanna (Velau) Meeks. Zola married Elsworth F. Beaves in 1936. She was a charter member of Douglas Boulevard Methodist Church in Midwest City. Zola was both a secretary and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Elsworth Beaves in 2003. Survivors include her son, Jimmy and his wife Kay Beaves; grandson, James Beaves; granddaughter, Mollie Beaves Klenzendorf; brother, Dwight Meeks; sister, Mildred Fleming; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3400 Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, OK with entombment following. Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
