

Alma Lucille Meyer, 90, of Olathe, KS., passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 18, 2012. She will forever be remembered as a beloved wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great- great grandmother, aunt and friend. Alma was born on May 14, 1922 in Cottonwood Falls, KS., to Thomas and Eva (Archer) Hullett.
She attended and graduated from Strong City High School in Strong City, KS. She married the love of her life Earl M. Meyer on April 13, 1945. Together they moved to Olathe, KS., in 1946. Alma worked for the Olathe School District as a cook and server for 5 years. She worked as a kitchen aid through Good Sam’s for 20 years before retiring in 1994. She also enjoyed growing flowers and working in her garden, playing Bingo and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Alma is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Earl M. Meyer who passed away in 1997 and son-in-law Rodney Hobbs. Survivors include her daughters: Shirley Meyer, Mable White (Glenn), Bonnie Hobbs (Rodney), Earlene Cramer, Darlene Meyer and “son” Kenneth Cramer. Left behind to cherish her memory are her seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great – great grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her family and everyone that knew her. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery In Cottonwood Falls, KS. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
